Welcome to the program and site..I have been working the program here without any professional therapy or medication for quite a while now..This program and the one in the sister site the depression center has helped me tremendously..My life is so much better now and I think yours can be too..This program and the one in the depression center gives you all the tools you need to start getting better..It does take time mind you and it my not happen over night but if you keep reading the program you will start to see very positive changes..I hope you give the program a try..You just might be pleasantly surprised at how well it works..I know I was..
I am somewhat new to this program, and I have found it VERY helpful in my dealings with my anxiety disorder. I have also been on meds and am seeing several doctors in attempts to get my panic attacks under control, but I can honestly say that aside from my medication, this program has been the most helpful tool for me personally. I think it has a lot to do with how badly you want your personal victory. When I found this program, I was desperate for help, and so I have earnestly read each lesson and done my homework, and I have found it to be very effective.
Every person is different. I would recommend starting the program and trying it for about two weeks and then reflecting on how you have grown from it to see where you are personally. This will help you to monitor your progress and feel a sense of accomplishment. The only way out of panic disorder is through. We have been given a challenge in life; how will you respond to yours? Like any thing it depends on your dedication and ability to study on your own. Forums are good for comparison and encouragement but even with a professional guiding you if you don't do the work you won't go anywhere. The program is straight forward in simple to follow steps and those ahead of you can help with things you don't understand. Keep in mind CBT is exactly what the words say. Changing your thought patterns. Negative to positive. Very simple but time consuming. How much time depends on how much negative you have to deal with. There is no time limit, take as much time as you want.
We have members using the program with a doctor and also ones using it without. I have already responded to you to you in another thread and I don't have too much to add but I am interested to hear what members who have been working on the program have to say.

Hi: yes, I believe you can get a lot of good from the CBT Program right here on this site. There are professionals here of whom you may ask any question. Post as often as you wish, ask as many questions as you want, anything you don't understand don't be shy to ask. If you read the past posts you may find some inspirational ones which will point you in the right direction.
