Hi Hugs: Since Davit is in hospital a lot of the planting has been done by me. I haven't had that much time so I have planted a bit here and there whenever I had a spare hour or so. I'm not all that worried about how it will turn out. Seeds are pretty strong things - they grow! even if they aren't in the most perfect place. This summer I have to forget those picture-perfect gardens because I just don't have the time nor the energy. It will be o.k. though, the veggies will grow! and we will still have lots for freezing for this winter. As long as they have sun, earth and water. The occasional hand picking of beetles or whatever insect is bothering them. We hand pick because we do everything organic.
My perennial border I put in last wk. is looking good. This one we did prepare the soil for as it was a new bed. Alas, Davit had to go into hospital shortly after and hasn't seen it planted yet.
I guess what I am trying to say is don't sweat the small stuff, these seeds grow because they want to and just take off and do their thing. You just need to supply the water if there isn't enough rain. It'll be so much fun when they are planted and you will see their progress - it really is exciting and fun.
I was planning to plant some edible plants this week, and feared doing it this morning. It was so simple I am irritated by the energy lost worrying about it.
I'm a lot less sore than I thought I would be, but I had done things in bits to prepare the garden over weeks, so I guess that paid off.
