Hiya Melinda! I think it is great that you found this site. There are many wonderful tools to help you here. I suggest you take a look at the CBT 12 week program. I know that up to now it has really been helping me! Also, you will find super great people on theese forums. This is a good place to get answers, support and understanding. Hi I am new here and I just read your post about never feeling normal like in a daze and dizzy all the time you are the first person that sound exactly like me. I was just starting to think i was going crazy. i also dont like to take meds because of the side affects but ive gotten so bad that life really sucksthe dr put me on lexapro. because its sposed to have less side affects but i think ive had everyside affect poss but i told my self i would take it for atleast 1 month and see if it helps because life seem imbarible. sorry for the spellin.

I can promise you that its not getting worse, it may seem so, but believe me when I say that it will pass. Try this: get a 365 day calander or regular calander of something that you like (for example cats, sports, music) at the end of each day write a couple of brief sentences decribing your overall mood throughout the day and then provide an overal anxious rating (1-10, 1 being relax, 10 being panic). Do that for every day and at the end of each week or month or whatever range of time, go back and review what you wrote. You will be able to notice some kind of pattern and often times you'll realize that there were a good number of days where you felt pretty good, rather than going with the assumption that you've been feeling bad for what seems like a long time. Become an observer and even though its hard to attend class and work, dont avoid, go and endure the best you can and don't be ashamed or embarrassed to let your teachers and bosses know of what your dealing with, tell them that you may need to get some air during class or work. Knowing that people understand and acknowledge helps a great deal. Trust me, anxiety doesnt have to take over your life and it wont.

With this information he may be able to achieve a better understanding of this disorder. Regarding your Zoloft, please do not make any changes without first consulting with your doctor. Let them know your concern about excessive tiredness, they may be able to make some suggestions for you. Yesterday was a pritty good day for once. It seems like my headachs have finally subsided and although I still have the nausciousness I decided to go out of the house for an hour. I didn't drive, my boyfriend did, but it still felt good to get out for a little. I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with they're significant others and understanding. My boyfriend is trying to be understanding but he keeps saying "well just stop worrying", and now he wants me to stop taking Zoloft because of how drowzy it's making me. He says I'm waisting my days sleeping. I know I kind of am in a way, but it's hard to want to do anything else when I'm this tired all the time. How do I get him to understand? Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi little_star!! Don't feel bad about the exam. Just give yourself a pat on the back for making it to the class in the first place. That's a big step for someone who was afraid to drive or go to work. Beating yourself up will never help. That's what I do all the time too. Never happy with the little steps I do make only angry at myself for "wimping" out on the big ones. You're taking the right steps to get yourself back into your life. Slowing down at work and changing your school schedule. Once your comfortable with that, you'll be ready to take a bigger step. You should look at each little thing you do do as an accomplishment. Getting out of bed in the morning is a big step for me!! Good luck and try to stay positive. Things will get better!!! ;)

Just wanted to clear up that I haven't started the meds yet. I feel like that without being on the lexapro. Thanks for the info.

Rowan, I was wondering what you felt like prior to taking the medicine and how you feel now. I am struggling to start taking escitalopram aka lexapro because I don't want the side effects. However, I feel like I'm out of it all the time. I feel like I'm walking around in a haze or fog and I never feel "normal". I feel dizzy almost all the time and dazed or drugged. Did you feel like that at all? Has anyone who reads this felt like that all the time? I greatly appreciate any responses.
