The tingling sensations in your extremities is caused by heighted hyperventalion, sometimes unnoticeable to us. From anxiety. When this happens, your blood flow naturally goes to your larger muscles, in a natural fight or flight response, so you get the tingling sensations in the smaller areas where muscles are. Some people can feel the heightened hyperventilation, by having "air hunger", where you are breathing, but you feel you just are filling the lungs up to full capacity. Abdominal breathing exercises will help this to dissipate, before it goes into a panic mode.
