Anyone used procyclidine

Hi Sharon, sorry for not responding sooner, I had some computer problems. Anyway, if you have not already seen your psychiatrist, I highly recommend you do so. If the Procyclidine is not helping anymore, than something may need to be adjusted. The other meds may also be creating some kind of interaction effect that would otherwise be uncharacteristic of each of the meds themselves. Let me know what happens. Paul

Paul, I am currently taking Perphenazine (some side effects are muscle cramps and joint pain), Remeron, Seroquel and Procyclidine. I started taking Procyclidine about 3 weeks after I started the Perphenazine. The procyclidine seemed to work at the beginning but my knees and my hips are starting to really hurt again. I find it hard to walk up and down stairs and to even cross my legs. Thanks, Sharon

Sharon, what else are you taking? The Procyclidine is generally prescribed to counter either Parkinson's or tremors, muscle tension, seizures, and other side effects from medications like Haldol, Trilafon, Thorazine, etc.. Either the other meds are over powering the Procyclidine or, your brain does not effectively process/utilize that particular anticholinergic agent. That's just my experiential opinion.

Since I have been on Perphenazine my joints and muscles have been cramping and hurting. I am taking Procyclidine for the aches and pains. As anyone taking Procyclidine? Sharon
