Wildcat,
It's great that you've got a good method down for remember to take your meds. You can always talk to your doctor about what type of physical symptoms you can expect if you forget to take a pill and how to avoid or lessen them a little too.
What do other members experience when they forget to take medication?

hi brenna,
For the past two years (nov 2005) I have a pill container and the cell alarm so everyday at 8:15 pm I take the meds.
This one time I fell asleep, the kids and I didn't hear the alarm and since I was dead... i didn't look at the pill container. It was a freak thing that got into a bit for trouble (its like I'm pregnant again) ;p. I was really hoping someone else had gone through this and had a few tips on how to ride out the worst of the physcical symptomes without a panic starting - this time I'm really sick and dying need an ambulance and the entire emergency personel for me alone- type of thing.
Wildcat,
You need to take your medication regularily and come up with a system to remember so that you can avoid these kind of situations. Some suggestions to help keep you organized; get a daily pill containter and make sure that it is empty everynight before bed, set an alarm at 8 everynight so you remember to take it, put a calendar on the fridge that you cross off everyday when you take your medicine. Please try to use one of these methods or come up with one yourself so that you can avoid these situations.

what a night. I forgot to take my effexor at 8 last night and at 2:30 I WAS SICK! I threw-up my supper. I had a nasty migraine. I was sweating and shivering. I wanted to die! I would have happily swallowed everything in the medicine cabinet If I was not kissing-the-porcelain-goddess.
eventually I was able to take the pills at 3am and wait till 4:20 untill they took effect... and at 5:30 the alarm rang. I pounded the snooz till 6:30 and had to rush everyone out of the house! I think my daughter's blouse has a stain on it and it is picture day at the daycare! I think I was having sleep deprivation halucinations... the school bus's lights were dancing while I was stopped behind it. Also, I couldn't figure out if it was the truck next to me in traffic that was moving ... or me with the foot on the brake ... I panicked and snapped out of that one quickly.
I managed the morning okay at work. But lunch is killing me on the way down. It feels like a volley-ball going down my esophagus. i have had a cup of weak tea and can't stomach the notion of putting anything else in my mouth, even if I know I need to rehydrate asap.
I am miserable.
but I have good news. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist at the psyciatric hospital. finally, someone who knows the depressive medications will be following me properly!
