Well, this is a record for me. I have been smoke free for four weeks, 28 days!!! How did this happen? I kept trying and trying and trying. I never gave up on quitting. For the newcomer, keep doing your quit. For those that have seen me go back to smoking, thanks for now turning your back on me.
What I have found out with this quit and I am doing it cold turkey, once I got the nic out of me things were okay. I have not had that urge to run out the door and find a cig. Maybe I have quit enough to know what I was feeling was normal and not get to excited about it. I don't know. All I know there is peace with this quit and that has not happened before and for that I am grateful.
I wish I could tell the newcomers what went right for me this time, but I can't. I read Allen Carr's book again and maybe it got though to me this time. I guess the timing was there for me and I really did some soul searching. I had several people here that helped me and were there for me time and time again and a couple new ones. I would name you, but you know who you are :eg: Thank you all.
The desire to smoke is gone, for today. Sure there are thoughts, but the desire is gone. WOW, what a feeling of freedom.
