Maybe you just havent noticed the positive effects because you are on the inside looking out. Dont you worry, good things are happening to your body. It took some time for my breathing to get better, in fact I could have sworn it had gotten worse! I exercised my butt off because that was the only time I felt I could breathe better, and the only thing that made me emotionally feel better ( i think I was depressed because of the wihdrawel & wasnt even aware of it, and the endorphins lifted me up) Weird how you can not know you are depressed. I believe that anyone who has quit smoking would benefit from exercising your lungs. Weather it is intentionally taking deep breaths or breathing hard from actual exertion. You will get an increase of oxygen to your system and expand your lungs which hopefully help them heal faster.
