Phil, threats would have never worked for me. The more threats the more determined I would be to smoke. Time and wonderful friends, hubby and this site worked for me. It works only when you want it to work. That is what works for me.

Don't worry about confusing anybody... for the first few months of my quit, my quit meter was horribly dizzy from being pushed forward and backwards! All that matters is that you are quit now! Butterfly Swimmer, I changed my counter now, as I quit Sunday. Sorry about the confusion, I just couldn't be bothered smoking any more. Right now I feel very good. Its not been a too stressful day and the sun is shining through. Those twinkling avatars are great btw.
