Hey Bear, I may be one of the whiners you are talking about. I tryed to quit(seriously tryed) several times. Each time I would set my quit date a little furter down the road. It's like the old saying "When the student is ready to learn the Teacher will appear" When I found this site I quit the day after I logged in. We never know when the time is right for us, must less someone else. I'm so glad I am not smoking and I want to incourage anyone even considering a quit to go ahead and try.

Lainey There is no fine line and Janna I don't mind if your there are weak people who need a little t.l.c my point is that once that decision is made to quit smoking stand by it with your heart and soul and don't tell me that because your under a little stress that your going to give it up.You all know how I came to this site I told you no lies and if I can get this far so can everybody else ..

Bear, Agreed. Kicking the habit should not be taken lightly. The support here is so genuine and not easily doled out so half hearted resolves to quit can be frustrating.

No Audrey It's the people that are already here that at the slighest bit of adversity pack it up and start smoking again. The 348 that are browsing if 10% are serious I'd be astounded and if they are I personaly challenge them to step up but I don't think they will ????

Bear:
I am a Gemini too. You may be right. My dad is trying to quit too and he is using medicine and is still smoking a bunch and taking a long time to commit to the quit and I get angry inside sometimes - I quit cold turkey and I don't complain to him at all and he is still smoking, taking medicine and b____ing all of the time.
On the other hand (the twin says) everyone is different and could the words we have said in this string cause someone who is a little weaker to read this and say, "they are right, I am a weak loser and I might as well just forget trying to quit"? That would break my heart!!!!!

Bear,
Currently there are 348 guests browsing and 4 members logged in. Is this what you are referring to?
If so it really is remarkable but 348 folks considering quitting is better than none don't ya think?

Looks like you're having a grand ol' time talking to yourself
Bear ! LOL !
I guess some are just so afraid, maybe they've tried and failed
and their fears outweigh moving forward and trying again ?
I don't know.. everyone is different.
Let's be supportive no matter what :)
