Checking In And Checking Up

for 17 år siden 0 249 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Howdy folks. It's been a good long while since I've posted here. I still check in from time to time, though I don't often post much anymore. I'm still smoke free I'm proud to say. I just pulled up Eds list and saw I'm at 19 months. Seems forever ago that I smoked. I can honestly say I do not remember what it was like to smoke. It's that far gone, yet still only 19 months. It's funny what a short time that seems now from this side. I know 18 months ago it would be a totally different story. 18 months ago the time would have seemed forever and insurmountable. I wouldn't have been able to FATHOM life without smoking. Now I can't remember life WITH smoking. Yeah I do get very minor cravings now and then. The sort of fleeting thoughts that are gone within a minute. I suspect I'll have those for a long, long time. They really are more just passing whims than a craving really. I hope everyone is doing really well. It's a great time of year for checking in and sending off good thoughts. And for those of you coming up behind me, I really can't stress enough how awesome it is to not smoke. I can't express how really achievable this goal is, and how wonderful it is when you get there. I still to this day repeat both to myself and anyone else when the topic comes up the wise, wonderful, PERFECT words that I found here: I'd rather be an ex-smoker with an occasional desire for a cigarette than a current smoker with a constant desire to quit. May your cravings be minor and your successes major and with the deepest most heartfelt thanks for all of you here, Bingo My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 579 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,580 Amount Saved: $1,737.00 Life Gained: Days: 82 Hrs: 19 Mins: 38 Seconds: 22
