That is a great idea Sparky! Who knows why we go through these spells?? Spring has sprung....so I think we better dust those blahs away....Soon we will be having your one year party!! I think that new quitters should be required to tape all their thoughts starting with all the things that they despise about their addiction followed by how hellish it is to go through constant cravings at the beginning of our quit....Then we would remember that we never want to go back their again. You are my inspiration sooooooooooooo...if you don't smoke, I won't either! Sorry I havent been around much lately, but was and am trying to get the blahs under control. Last month was a journey and then some. First my fourth grandson was born and my second grandson turned 5. This meant two trips to Colorado, with another one for two weeks in May. Then there was the Hall of Fame honor, nice, very nice. Then concluding the month with having 11 months. So being out of town and not being able to post as often gave me THINK time. For me this can and usually is very dangerous. I went though thoughts of smoking and knowing full well that there was nothing to be gained, but it didnt stop the thoughts. I do know the one thing I do not want to do is smoke around my grandsons, so that means I can smoke after the middle of May, not. Then I thought I could smoke now and quit before I go out again, not. Then I looked at the calendar and on the 30th will be a year, do not want to smoke that away. What to do, what to do? Here is my solution. I belong to a workout program for women and they have different things you can do and earn rewards. March (wonderful March) was a food drive. You bring in food and work out 12 times you could win a prize, which I did. Rusty, you will like this one. They had a charm bracelet and few other items. I put my name in for the charm bracelet, with a silent promise if I win this, I will wear it and remember that I am a non-smoker and to smoke again is not an option. I am wearing the bracelet and some of the charms work wonderfully with my quit. Life is good.
