Thankyou everyone. Today is officially day 5 for me - its about to come to a close and all day i have struggled with mental warfare.

This is a great thread!
Tomorrow is guaranteed to no man. Quitting is easier than knowing your last day on earth was spent wishing you didn't smoke. That you spent your time subtracting from your life rather than living it.

I live in a small town and this past week a young man (35yrs) was killed in a head on collision, when coming home from work with his Dad and co-workers. His father was seriously injured. His wife is expecting their first child next month.
Needless to say this has upset the entire community. His funeral is today. I don't know if his Father is well enough to attend.
Life can be so cruel at times, and tragedies like this make all our problems seem so miniscule.
On some days, Quitting is easier than everything! :)

Quitting is easier than explaining to your kids why you can't afford to get them something they really want while you're in line to waste money to cigarettes.

You know what I came here to complain about how hard day 3 is being to me. (Poor little me right?) then this post put a lot in perspective.
So I figured I better add one into the loop.
Quitting is easier than telling your spouse they will have to raise the kids alone because you kept smoking...

Great thread Mercy, thank you.
Quitting is easier than that look on your child's face as they realize you're not going to be there for the rest of their life. That if you had only listened to them things would be different and their life would be so much happier. And why you were so stubborn and continued to poison yourself even after they found cancer in you, you didn't even try to get better.
Quitting easier than trying to explain this madness to a child.

qutting smoking is easier than not quitting smoking.
qutting is as easy as you want it to be or as difficult as you make it.
