Hello,
I just wanted to share with you that it has been smoke 100 days smoke free saturday.
The war has been rough but I have been winning battle after battle. I never gived up.
In summary I would like to mention some of the positive things that quitting smoking have done for me:
1) My relationship with my girlfriend has improved 180 degrees. Since I dont smell awful anymore, I have improved
my intimacy with Elisabeth. This has brought closer than before. In addition she looks at me in a more positive light
because I am actually accomplishing a difficult goal
.
2) I can exercise better. I love exercising and working out. The othery day I climbed a hill of 45 degrees with my bycicle.
Last year, I was not able to to do it. I was short of breath
3) Developed healthy habits. Since I stop smoking, I eat breakfast on a regular basis, eat healthier meals and cut down on my caffeine. I feel physically better.
4) Gain confidence. I also feel that I can accomplish other goals that I have set up upon me to improve my life.
My next short term goal is to reach 180 days when I am going to throw a big party.
I want to give thanks sofar for all the advice that I have received in the forum, you all have been helpful.
I want to say to others members that read this post, that not to give up. I know is easier to say than done. Before taking any cigarette do anything else: eat, chew gum, drink water, scream , call somebody but dont smoke. You will become stronger every day. Also when you feel the urge to smoke think of the most important reason for your quit and repeat on your head 10 times. You will forget about smoking...
