Hi sinking,
Please be sure to advise your friend to speak with his doctor about these questions. A local pharmacist is also a great resource for medications concerns.

I am on Zoloft and it works great for me, but it depends on the person. Like anything, meds work for some and not for others. He doesn't feel any difference at all? For some people it takes a while, but since it has been a few weeks, I would have him call his Dr and ask what he thinks. I know how frustrating it can be to sit and wait for things to work. My boyfriend has been on several differnt meds and still hasn't found one that helps him. Just make sure to call the dr or his nurse and maybe set up another appt. to switch meds. Good luck!
Hello,
I was wondering....I have a friend who started taking Zoloft a few weeks back. This friend has dystimia (spelling?)with occasional episodes of major depression. He started on a very low dose of 25-50mg and is now up to 150mg (the increase has been over about 3 weeks). He said he will be going up to 200mg in a few weeks. He also says that he doesn't feel like the meds are working.
I was wondering how long it takes for the Zoloft to start having effects? Anyone taking it for the same reason? I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.
