BOB Going to Parks sounds wonderful! I love nature. The only things that can save me from my misery are being outdoors but most of all my love for all the earths species. Animals facinate me to such a degree that when I am interacting with aninmals that I forget about all the disorders and symptoms. It's the only experience that sucks me in 100%! It is the only interest that I have stay interested in my entire life as well. It's wonderful you did that I'm so proud of you!!! You wouldn't believe how many people I know that don't ever notice or appriciate the scenery. People are mostly just too self involved but for those who do notice, God put it there for a reason...to comfort you.

Dear Bob, Good to hear back. Glad you had such a nice day yesterday!I am looking forward to getting a few minutes to turn on some music and doing a little dancing today. You sound like you are doing the right things these days to help yourself. You are a good example to me. I can think about it and talk aout it but making myself act on my own behalf is such a struggle. Thank you and keep it up :-). Patricia (Trisha)

Jeepbaby thanks for your reply. yesterday we visited a number of beautiful parks and waterfront areas, which i hadn't been to for years. taking a pause to commune with nature on a warm day perked me up considerably. perphaps i should do more of being a tourist in my own area every once in awhile. take a break..get out of my daily routine...do something a little different. take care bob

Good for you Bob. Staying away from sleeping pills and coffee is a very good thing. Especially if you have anxiety. Uck! Nothing makes a panic attack worse than coffee. But jeez it tastes good, doesn't it? =)

Dear Bob, I am new on this site but thought I would respond to you anyway. I am drawn to the fact that you can savor some moments. That is great. Concentrate your thoughts on those as much as you can. To my way of thinking we all need to build on those moments that we can savor in our thoughts!! The time spent with your daughter which you enjoyed can happen again it if you plan for it. Don't just hope it does. Re. your question about alcohol...Even a "once in a while drink" to me is o.k. I agree you have to be very careful with it on antidepressants but if you occasionally have a drink in the evening that is a moment to savor as well. Don't get into "the I mustn't use a crutch mentality" if you can help it. That can get carried to extremes.I was into all that for a long time (even about medication) until I realized we all need all the crutches (help) we can get. We just have to try to use them all in the right way. Anyway, hang in there. Trisha (patricia)

hello my friends.. well i have to reply to my own posting to get some feedback...its a complex world..here i am next morning, really tired. i got up too early because i couldn't sleep, though i am proud of myself because i didn't take any sleeping pills. as a diabetec my blood sugar is low, which means i can eat without excessive guilt. perhaps a cup of strong coffee will get me going. i have to watch that coffee thing too, but right now my body is crying for help. it's early so i feel i have free time, time thats my own. i don't have to be productive. i can do stuff i enjoy. i can modify my digital photos, surf the net etc. i hope everyone has a wonderful day. i hope i can somehow muster up some energy for my fatigued body and mind. in closing i must say i value this site, as i log onto it within minute of getting up. take care. bob

hi i got into a good zone the past couple of days. i spent it moving my daughter home from college. we enjoyed an evening at an interesting restaurant, a gallary and a jazz club before emptying her apartment the next day. i was totally absorbed into what was happening and felt great. now we are back and i wait with trepedation my wife's return in a few days. she will be moaning and groaning and chastising us about how much work needs to be done on the house and how nobody but herself ever does anything etc etc. hopefully i can weather that storm and retain some remnants of a couple of good days. bob
