sister,
You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice.
The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may better help assess the situation.
If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact Support Department at support@depressioncenter.net. We are open to any questions or concerns you may have.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Josie

Hi sister-
Nice to see you here. I too have been depressed for many years and i understand what you mean about your medication. every now and then i have to have mine "tweaked" because i want to keep feeling well. i have no problem being on them for the rest of my life because they have improved my life so much. i don't know if you have considered therapy- it has been a great help to me but i know it isn't for everyone. this site is a wonderful place because you can come and write out your feelings and you are among people who understand what you are going through. please post some more. i would love to get to know you. Karen

Hi, I'm new to this site and would like to share a bit of my story. I'm a 46 year old married mother of 2 with the nice house and the "white picket fence". Everything should be perfect. Right? NOT!
I was diagnosed with clinical depression and went on medication 10 years ago and have been on the verge of depressed and "not bad" ever since. More recently, I have become frustrated with just feeling not bad and I'm in the process of changing to a new medication in the hopes of feeling better. I should note here that without any medication, my life would have been unbearable.
My depression is debilitating and affects every aspect of my life. I also suffer physical pain almost every day.
I am greatful to not have suicidal thoughts. For one, I would never give anyone the satisfaction. And secondly, I really want to be here for my children.
I don't care how long I have to remain medicated as long as I can get some relief.
Thanks for reading.-s.
