Yes, thank you... My name has alot to do with me I suppose, but the whole reason why I picked it was beacause that I am a writer, and I love dark hidden and related to me words. To "unrequited", I guess I should try the proffessional help thing... Last time I went there it was all very old therapy lessons... I am suprized that you thought as me as a writer, your guess was right on the spot, "unrequited". I've writen and had published many poems, and I am working on a novel right now, a Fantasy Fiction novel. I'm really thankful for everyone who has replied to me and tried to help, thanks... I will try the exercice and professional help, thanks... Amanda-Dead_Secrets9

Dead_Secrets9; sounds scary. It reminds me of the movie, "The Dead Poet's Society". I think a key to your feeling better has something to do with the name you chose for yourself. Maybe your secrets are killing you. If you don't like therapy, this site is a good way to start letting them out. If that is impossible because of the nature of the secrets, then maybe you could talk to a friend, or to God first; to give you the strength to turn to another human to talk them out. I found that the only benefit of seeing a professional besides the medication, was that I was able to get all the terrible secrets out of my mouth; with a lot of crying in between; things that I had never talked about with anybody. Because doctors are not supposed to tell others about your problems, I felt safe to talk. After some time of this, it becomes less and less painful to talk about, and eventually you do feel more releaved, although the pains may still be there from time to time. At least you no longer feel that you are on the virge of a nervous breakdown or something. If you get group therapy, it can help you realise you are not alone, and so this is a good place to start talking, unless it is still too painful yet, or you feel regrets over some criminal behavior. Maybe you are a writer...

I am in jr. high school, soon to be a freshmen... My parent doesn't have any time to help me with personal things, she's a single mother working for two children, plus a medicated aunt-to me-. I was hoping for more answers, >shrug<, oh well I'm glad someone replied. I suppose I should have said that I isolate them away from me, would be more better, but it's kind of with them to... All the time I get nothing but bad vibes, I've noone to talk to about any of my problems, I have problems getting a person to close to my emotions. It's like my emotions is all I have, it's bottled up inside me only to be hidden some more, intill after a while the pressure becomes to much and explodes, it's what I call the "break down day"... It's kind of hard to get my self to find anything fun lately, everything just seems so dull now... I hate depression it's completly sucking up my life... Medications will not help! Not me at least... Why should I take medications when depression is normal for any human. If you didn't have depression once and a while, if you didn't hate, or mope once in while then that would be very inhuman. We'd all just be a bunch of porceilen dolls with permanent smiling faces-scary. I'm sorry but I just wont, and can't take medications, but I will try the exercising, it might help brighten me up a little. Thanks,

Dead_Secrets9, You didn't mention anything about taking meds for your depression. You may have a chemical imbalance in which case taking the proper medication can make all the difference in the world. I would also recommend excercise, reading and writing as these have all been a tremendous help to me. Good luck to you! Be well!

Wow...you are not only carrying a huge burden but you are very insightful. You are right about the little circle that is there. There is something that will put a wedge in the cycle. I'd love to be able to tell you what it is and be confident about the advice. The truth is, I don't know what to suggest. I assume you are a student. Jr or High School, or college? I have a daughter that is a Senior but is also already taking college courses, too. It's hard to see the pressure she feels and goes through. I can only imagine how difficult it is for you to go through the pressure with depression added to it. Do your parents realize the seriousness of your depression? Are they supportive at all? You mentioned isolation with them...do you isolate yourself from them,or they isolate themselves from you? What about fun? Any possibilities of doing something fun this weekend? Depression can make it nearly impossible to drag ourselves out, not to mention, to enjoy something. I agree with Bobs suggestion about exercising. It releases endorphins and boosts seratonin levels (feel good stuff). Plus, you can start to see how studly your getting in the process! ~tee-hee~ Mama hugs to you, ~ @ngie! ~

Deadsecrets I have nothing brilliant to say. Exercise may help you somewhat, if you are not currently involved with that. From my persoanl experience I know that if I am tired it is difficult to exercise, but it does energize me if I can get into it. I hope others on this site can come up with some input for you. take care bob

Dead_Secrets, Welcome to our support community. Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. The site is currently working on a new and improved site that will consist of a Depression Program, designed by doctors. This may be of some assistance to you. If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact Support Department at support@depressioncenter.net. We are open to any questions or concerns you may have. Keep Strong, Josie ___________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

I've always been very depressed, and even worse so now with peer pressure, but now it seems to have become a major interfiance in my life. I understand depression, and I understand what it's like, it's just building more of an irritant problem them then before. I've been through many things that eventually caused deep depression-can anyone relate, I've been through pathetic therapy-drives me nuts, and plenty of things, I just want to see if anyone can help me now... Depression is a major issue, I have that issue, like many do. Depression is a pain, It's interfering with school, I'm always tired, I have cruel thought that I chanel through my writing, and my family is a total mess. My school is a big problem that joins together with my other problems. Having the depression is affecting my thoughts, which makes me grumpy, puts my family in the scary isolated mode, makes me tired, which then affects my school work. Perfect little circle isn't it? I've tried many things for my problems, and they didn't seem to work, I am getting very flustered, and I was hoping that someone could help me. I really would love amy help, any suggestions, comments, or anything, just something... Thank you all for your time, and any comfort.
