Eman; probably most people have had similar problems to you in finally visiting a doctor after waiting a long time, but it is too bad that the clinic you visited had never talked to someone like you before?! I have experienced also that in some countries depression is not discussed and is even more difficult to talk about than in other countries. What did they actually say to you? As for venting, for myself, after many years of talking about the sadness in my family's life history, it did help, because the more you talk about it, and cry; the easier it becomes to talk about it, and the less you cry. At first, it may seem like a volcano errupting inside of you, but eventually the volcano becomes a river and the river becomes a stream. And I have heard that eventually some people actually get over their problems...although I think if we were born with something wrong to start with, maybe we will have to deal with it all our lives to some extent. That is why some of us decide to take medications of one kind or another. It all depends on what the problem is. If you are from the Middle East, it is understandable that you must be under a lot of stress. I don't know what you have seen or experienced, but I am sure that what ever it was must have been very bad. Even if what you have experienced was similar to others living in other parts of the world, you still have more stress living in the Middle East. You are not alone, there are millions like you. In fact, the whole world is watching the Middle East these days, waiting to see what will happen next. We are living in shocking times. Please write back and tell us what happened.
