Moose, I'm so glad things are looking up for you! All things you mentioned that you are doing are great! Mornings are the worst for me also. Sometimes I'm just sure I'll throw up if I have to get up and go to work. Usually my husband encourages me to try at least, and once I get to work, I feel so much better. I teach young children with disabilities and they can always make me smile. It's just the initial "up and at 'em" that gets me! :) I encourage you to continue your exercising, meditation and diet changes, they seem to be reaping great benefits for you! Kelly

Hello folks, Thank you for your kind replies. Sorry about my bad manners, taking so long. I started the mood tracker and noticed that stomach problems, being in the house all day, and family squabbles all make things worse. We've dusted the house and that made things very much better. I've also become vigilant about eating a better diet, with no gluten, MSG, or hot spices. And I'm trying to do exercise (stairs, walking the dog) as well as meditation every day. After 4 weeks, I'm having only a few bad days--which is a huge improvement. Thanks again, Moose

Hi moose Just a quick message to welcome you to the DC Support Group. It is very late where I live (early am UK) and I want to go to bed soon! Mornings are usually worst for depressed people, although I think it can sometimes be the other way round. Poor concentation and tiredness often occur in depression as well. It was good that you felt OK when you did get up as I know that some people feel lousy all the time. I hope you find the Support Group helpful and will also try the DC program. Let us know how you get on. Regards MRB :)

Hi Moose, Mornings are always hardest for me. I wake up and negative thoughts start building in my head which lead to more negative thoughts which lead to ...... etc. Changing to taking my medication just before I go to bed has been very helpful. I'm sad your feeling down. I'm sending out positive thoughts in your direction. Welcome Welcome Welcome to the group. Hanahmo ;)

Moose, Welcome to The Depression Center. We thank you for sharing your story with us today. This support group is full of supportive individuals who may be able to help you answer some questions regarding depression. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may also help better assess the situation. We also have developed a Depression Program. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@depressioncenter.net. Take care and we hope to hear from you soon. I read in the paper about a guy who had been through a lot of jobs due to depression and this site was mentioned. I've been feeling tired and lousy off and on for a couple of months and so I thought I'd come here and see what benefit I could get. After my morning coffee I couldn't work or concentrate and I was too tired to do anything so I went back to bed. I was feeling OK around 4PM so I got up and made dinner for myself and my son. We had a pretty good chat, which was unusual. Then I took the dog out. I feel OK now. Mornings are the worst.
