Hello queboo, Welcome to the site. It really is a very helpful place filled with lots of caring people. CBT really is a great tool but you have to practice it all the time. I find I am great with it for awhile but when I get low again it's hard to control the negative thoughts that come up. But I do find that it doesn't seem to last as long as it used to which is a good thing. Keep practicing and you should see a difference. Take care

Hi qeboo, Welcome to the site. Thanks for sharing your introduction here with us. You will see that this is a great place to share your feelings and experiences of depression. It sounds like you are familiar with CBT. Please take the time to check out our free online program. CBT is a lot of work but the good news is that if you follow the program it will all come together for you as you start to feel better. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns. We can be reached via the feedback link. Casey ___________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team

I've been diagnosed with depression for 8 years (since daughter was born), been on several different meds/dosages, now seeing a psychiatrist for about a year. I wonder if I'll ever feel "normal" again. I wonder if I've ever really felt "normal". I suspect I've actually suffered from depression since I was a teenager (I'm 39 now), but was only officially diagnosed a year after my daughter's birth -- no guilt there! Anyway, I've been working on CBT with the doctor for the past year -- still not totally convinced, but thought this might help keep me on track between appointments, and its somewhere to go when I'm feeling more down than usual. We'll see...
