joint pain with wellbutrin?

Medication is such a funny thing, everyone reacts so differently. If your having side-effects that are worse than what the medication is supposed fix, mask or help with then you should really talk to your Md. There are so many combinations and options available and it may take a while before you find out what works for you and/or find a doctor that isn't stuck with his magic combinations. Personally I am on 600mg of Novo-Bupropion(Welbutrin) 900mg of Lithium 300mg Seroquel This is after trying a few different combinations, the lithium scared the crap out of me at first but after reading Dr. Manji's research I am really glad that I am on it. The first couple of weeks were rough but I was in the hospital and under care so I rode them out under doctors supervision. I had really bad tremours, dizzy, dopey, difficulty speaking, became very red faced and the list goes on BUT my body has accepted the medication and its working great for me. The side effects I have now are not necessarily bad: Inablitiy to cry, I will talk a mile a minute, high energy levels hence the seroquel to sleep, mild constipation but a couple strong coffees and things will flow with some effort, and sexual pleasures are 100 times greater. I wish you the best in finding the right combination.

Hey Cheers, I was wondering how things were going with the meds? Did you get ahold of your PDoc?

Hey Cheers, I am on wellbutrin 300mg/day and do not have any side effects....however....I did have severe joint pain with effexor. You might want to look up a site for medications and reactions (I think it was called remedy find). I found some very helpful information there. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. :)

I'm on wellbutrin as well 1x 100mg/day and i don't feel any of thoes symptoms you described. I've been on this for alomst a year and i think i'm getting used to the drug so it doesn't do much but even when i started i didn't have any pains. it might just be because of the mixed drugs or it could be because if the higher doseage (i'm not a doctor so i don't know) you really should talk to your doctor or do some research on it.

Cheers, The Depression Center offers personalized, interactive tools that have helped thousands of people challenge and overcome their depression. At this time we our members and moderators are unable to provide you with information regarding medications and their dosages. It is best to speak with your doctor and or pharmacy. If you need to see someone immediately please go to your nearest health care facility. Melanie _____________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team

Has anyone else experienced these side effects? I recently changed from 2x day (150) to xl at 300 mg. Since then, I've notice my joints getting very sore, no muscle strength and my skin hurts! Problem is, I also started a round of Biaxin...maybe the combo? the pharmacist has no idea, and i cant get a hold of my psych.. Sound familiar to anyone? pls share Cheers
