Thanks for the replies jluv & Josie. I know it would be the best to talk to my PDoc but I will not be seeing him till next month and it seems that it takes so long to see him. I know I need to give the meds a chance but if I can't stay awake through the day I feel like I'm spiralling downwards. I was hoping to find a recommendation for a "lighter" medication. Something that isn't so stong. I had no idea till he started trying me on all the different meds how sensitive I am to them! He has prescribed the weakest doses possible and even has me taking them with a day in between and I get pretty much every reaction listed and then some. It's very disheartening sometimes. I want very much to be better and with being in the course I'm taking I feel like in order to absorb what I'm learning I need my head in the right space, hence the drive to find the right medication quickly. I am going to talk to him and hopefully we'll find something soon. Thanks again for your help! :)

Rayne, Your best bet is to talk to your doctor or pharmacist regarding dosages and side effects. They have a world of knowledge to give. Keep Strong, Josie ___________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team.

Rayne, I know prozac and lexapro work well for depression. I was on cymbalta for a bit and that helped tremendously with symptoms of depression but I didn't like the (sexual)side effects. I currently take just wellbutrin xl and it gives me a ton of energy but not helping so much with my crying spells :( I actually feel a lot better on here talking about the "stuff" going on in my life. Good luck with your meds--sometimes it takes awhile to find the right fit. jluv :)

Hello everyone, Yup, Dr. has changed my meds again. He had taken me off of Cipralex and left me only on Wellbutrin SR (well...actually I had stopped because I was getting too tired but when I saw him I was doing really well so he said to stay off). Which was okay but then I got really down in the last 2 weeks, so when I saw him he prescribed Paxil 10mg every second day. I am taking it (not feeling particularly good, nausea, memory and hearing disturbances, muscle pain and strangely kidneys are sore) But I have been reading up on Paxil and this stuff looks evil! I am really worried about coming off it and I am frightened of the weight gain. Anyone else taking this? Can anyone shed some light for me? Any other meds anyone can recommend? I know I need an anti-anxiety med but I find they all make me wickedly tired. I react very strongly to the medication so a little really seems to knock me on my A$$! And when I'm without I go squirrelly. Any info would be much appreciated and Thanks to all! :p
