Hi Maggie, Sorry to hear your having a hard time but if that's what helps, then hey that's what were here for. Try switching gears, do something other then letting your mind keep going and going. If you have a lot to do, set up mini-goals and work slowly to bigger ones. Ex: clean the kitchen table, later sweep & mop the floor... write it down on a sheet of paper and check them off as you go. Hello Maggie! How are you feeling today? Did you managed to chase away all that anxiety last night? It seems you were able to point down the reasons for all that anxiety, which is good! Take one task at a time. Baby steps, remember? I'm a bit anxious myself today. It's Sunday. Hi didnt think i would post again so soon. Just having a panicky time at the moment. Its about 1 am in morning - not tired - guess could do housework, read a book or something but my mind wont settle. Not sure if i have done the right thing today with regard to some decisions made / actions taken. Want to have a nice day tomorrow or should i say later today but worried about some things in work next week as well. Lots needs doing at home as well. Feel on edge. Unsettled. Don't know how to get rid of that feeling. Just thought I would write it down to try and get rid of the anxiousness i guess.

Hello! As you can see from all the answers you're getting you are not alone! And I specially relate to your feelings because I went down the same road of isolation, putting it in a corner of my mind and waiting for it to go away... And I've only started dealing with it three years ago. Sometimes it's a long road we have to cover. BUt each person is a different case and each case has a different outcome. Thanks for replies. I've found the hardest thing in this is realising where i am now and thinking i know where i want to be but not knowing or having the oourage to get from one to the other. Also on the surface I present an image of being ok with the world with very few people if any knowing how i really feel. All that wasted time just getting on with it. Makes me feel a bit of a fraud. Still guess we cant turn the clock back and just have to trust that things will work out. Good luck to you both in your endeavours.

Dear Maggie, I've read something in Session 1, which I found very useful for myself: "usually when we do something, motivation comes before behaviour. ... However in order for depressed people to get better, behaviour has to come before motivation" This is so true. I'll keep this in mind in the coming weeks, and hope this can help you too. Hi, I just wanted to say good luck in your journey.I think we all settle for things in life to a certain extent.It is so hard to reach for our goals when they seem so far and impossible to reach.I am a stay at home Mom of 3.So I do feel lonely and disconnected from life because I do not have a licence to drive.Somedays I feel like I am so trapped even though I do love my family alot.I hope to see you posting it helps to vent to get it out. Just to say hello Am single 44 year old. Have been trying to deal with stress, anxiety and depression it seems unsuccessfully during last 12 months. Not sure why its suddenly become an issue in the last year - maybe I just chose to ignore it before then and settled for the life I had. Since acknowledging things have to change I have become increasingly anxious and on several occassions experienced chest pains at times of severe stress. Have also tended to cut myself off from people not having the energy or motivation to do anything. This has affected my working life and I have if you like down traded to try and deal with the situation in a less stressful new environment. On a personal level I feel I am not very good at forming meaningful relationships with people. I guess things get worse sometimes before they get better but I want to try and build a new life so am hoping that this program will assist me along the way. Anyway thanks for listening.
