Welcome. I know what you mean about music helping. It is also a huge part of my life as well. A song has the power to pick me up off the floor when I am down, even if just for a few minutes. I look forward to chatting with you!

Hmm.. "the artist".. that was the first thing to pop into my head and i think it sums me up quite well. Art is the best way for me to express my feelings of so much turmoil, but you know how that turns out, i put stuff in a show or people ask to see my stuff and they are all worried and put off by how sad they are. I don't draw morbid pictures, i just draw "emotionally charged" scenes. Because i am on antidepressants i often feel flat and so anything that will get me to feel again is greatly appreciated. I just recently had the worst break down yet and had to leave college early and get help. The insurance company and my parents, worrying that they are enabling me, wouldn't let me stay home so now i am back to college with work to make up from last semester along with this semester's load. I am on all new drugs after the disaster that is Paxil and am waiting for them to kick in. In the mean time i have looked to my music to help me through. right now i don't know what i would do without the new third eye blind stuff, i can't tell you how much they have made my mood sooo much better and given me the motivation to get up every morning and get my butt to class. i owe my brother so much for giving me these cds. i have such a supportive family but there is only so much they can do, most of the work is going to be on me and writing this out is what i need right now. when i am not depressed to the point of 3 days in a catatonic state i am foremost an artist. i am only 19 and i have done so much already, i am so thankful and hope that i will be able to return to my work as soon as possible.
