Madara,
Medication can be complicated. Seek knowledge from your pharmacist and doctor regarding side effects and dosages. We are unable to give out medical advice and the above are qualified to assist you with this :)

Hi everyone! I have several questions. Any help would be highly appreciated. Do antidepressants provide a long lasting effect or is it a short term one? For example if it is SSRI that supplies the brain with serotonine what happens when the medication has been came off? Has it supplied the brain with the necessary amount of serotonine (and if yes, for how long period) or does the brain gradually lose that serotonine?
In my case, one of the side effects of panic disorder is depression. I am off the medication at the moment for a month already (I took Cipralex). When I come off medication, I start to feel weird. Perhaps you can smile at this, but I even feel some reaction in my brain, I feel that it comes from the brain. Some imbalance and slight apathy (at the beginning). It is also a slight qualm (if you can understand what I mean) that I feel. It's always when I stop taking antidepressants. What's wrong? Don't they work for a long period? Why does this depressive feeling repeat? I am sorry if these questions have been discussed here before. Thanks for any help.
