Sherylis, Your doctor or pharmacist are the best authorities to assist you in this matter. Do take the time to consult either one and talk to them about the side effects you are experiencing. Keep us posted. Danielle _____________________ The DC Support Team

I had the same problem after my ICD implant. I had no energy and my Dr felt that maybe a change to Wellbutrin might help. It didn't as I experienced nausea and really felt bad. I went back to Lexapro and two years later I discovered that it wasn't working anymore. I am now on Prozac, had the dosage increased twice along with Lamictal. They seem to work. I think it just takes your body some time to adapt to new drugs. Hang in there!

Hi Sherylis. Sounds like you're going through a really un-fun time. I don't take the same meds as you (I'm on Zoloft) but have has a touch of side effects from it (oh so lovely diar.) My doctor said that it would subside (it did) and that's why they've got to adjust the dose slowly - so my body gets used to it. Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon!

Hi everyone, I just joined as I found this site through a referral from my employer. I was diagnosed with Depression over a year ago and while I thought I was getting better I came to realize that I really wasn't. I went back to the doctor and have since found out that I also have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I am having a really hard time dealing with that as my doctor is changing my meds so I am having withdrawal from my old ones and side effects from the new ones. Not to mention, the new ones take awhile to kick in so I feel like I am getting worse, not better. My question is that I just started taking Effexor (I think that is how it is spelled...). I am having a lot of side effects like head aches and stomach issues (like nausea, diareha,etc.). Is anyone else on this and have you experienced the same thing? I am curious to know if this lasts for a long time or not? The doctor just put me on a low dose and every 2-4 weeks we are upping the dose until he finds the right one (but that could be as high as 8 times as much as I am taking now he told me) so I am concerned about the side effects. Thanks!
