I read somewhere that many positive traits are linked to bipolar disorder and that evolution needed the particular combinations so the disorder is a "secondary effect" to be tolerated...

So I thought a positive exercise would be to look at some of my positive traits...
I can look at almost any object and see its beauty or potential.  I can think of lots of ways to reuse the stuff in the weekly garbage bins around the neighbourhood.  An old plank can be cut in two or three and a few broken bricks for the renovation of the third house make shelves under the bathroom sink.  An old TV stand with two or three shelves become a doll house; some scraps of carpet, pretty samples of paint and wall paper, and bits of fabric make a good start.  Magasines have beautiful coloured ads that make nice covers to cardboard boxes to store the kids winter stuff and toys on closet shelves.
I have a relatively good memory so that I always have my favorite songs to listen to in my head.  I can sing along with most of the stuff on the radio as well.  If I read something it usually means I will have the information available  for a good couple of years.  Also, I rarely get physically lost, mentally -yes-, spiritually - yes-,  but I can find my way home (even from the town of mont-royal with all its circular streets!).
I am usually optimistic.  I understand alot about how the corporate world functions.  I know a lot about how societies run, so I am well equipped in thinking out side most boxes.  I can see that tomorrow the sun will rise, light the world, and energize the planet.  What we do with that potential is the essential key.  Being optimistic, to me, is seeing that potential and knowing I can choose to do my best.
Okay ... eh ... I am intelligent.  I have studied and completed my undergraduate degree.  I have done a host of other courses and seminares.  I continue to learn.  I understand and use the knowledge I gain.  I can question.  I can seek out information and understanding.  I am interested in what happens around me; in people, between people, in my environment and in the universe.
I am imaginative and creative.  I can piece ideas and objects together that were not created for my specific purpose.  I can see beyond the external covers and explore potentials, and possibilities.

what is good and nice and interesting in you?
