and I do indeed have a bad case of the shoulds. I'd never really thought of it that way before, all the things I should be doing making me unhappy.

See I've learnt something already

I'm just a mess at the moment, but then I guess that's the criteria for turning up here.

see judging myself again.

I've come here to try and learn how to stop doing that.

This is a great supportive place. Congrats on already tackling the homework. I see you apologised in your post, don't be so hard on yourself! The great thing about this site (as apposed to the world out there) is that no-one judges you and people actually understand what you are going through. hi goldendawn - welcome, i can already tell you have a case of the "shoulds" - there's a cure for that! it helps to vent, and everyone around here is safe to vent to. tell us what's going on, it helps you to write it down, and maybe you can get some good advice. no reason to be afraid here - what are you afraid of?

for me it's spiders, especially spiders that get stuck in my hair, it's happened before, i thought i was gonna have a heart attack!

I am 47 years old, female, married, kids, house, job and other stuff that should make me happy but doesn't.

I know I should introduce myself to the group properly but am paralysed with fright.

But if I don't post something now, I probably never will, so for now this is it.
