Negative Core beliefs

Rosie,

This is where challenging those negative thoughts comes in.  Use the journaling as a positive aspect in your everyday experiences and situations. Make the journal only positive and embrace the good.

Let go of the negative and use the positives to reward yourself and reinforce your mind and body.  Look back in a week and see all the positive attributes.

So, I am busy with this section but am having a terrible time. I have identified 1 of my main negative core beliefs that all my other negative talk stems from: I am not good enough. I am trying so hard to find things that reinforce my new postive beliefs but everyday it becomes harder to find something. I tried little things but I have a problem with this. If I am looking for postitive things e.g. if I think no one loves me, if a friend calls, I write it down as showing my positive belief is right. But to the same point, if my friend doesn't phone, it is proving my old belief to myself. Is there not a way that we can build these positive core beliefs up, other than by using the actions of others as feedback? I want to be good enough for myself first, if others don't like me, that is their problem. How do I start believing it myself, if the actions of others seem to prove the opposite??
