what to do this week-end?

hi furgittit,
can i vent a bit?
would you believe me if I told you that the bottom of each closet is used to vacuum store the seasonal clothes.  Winter boots, coats, scarves, mits are in the bottom. Then, for the summer jeans and pants, polar fleece, and warm gear is on top in regular storage for cool nites and camping.  The drawers and chests have the current season's clothes, my stuff is in my room and my husband's in in the basement for lack of space!!!

I have a cedre chest between the washer and dryer and the linens get piled in there and the top is my only laundry room work space ... so I have to be careful on the wood with delicates.

Everyone on the street has a 33' X 31' house and why am I complaining?

Hi Wildcat seems that you have alot to accomplish.  You could pick up some bags and put your linens in them folded nicely  Close the bag and such the qair out with th vacuum then tie up with twist tie and voila you have several small bags that can fit in closts, or rubbermaid continers but kept safe and dry.  I did the a couple of years ago and this made me more space than I could ever have imagined.
Great news about your back.
Well good luck tackling the mess.

Hi !!

My back is back to normal... I went to my aunt's for a reiki moment and she did the hot hands thing and poof. I am good again.  So nothing done Saturday evening... And Saturday afternoon was the shopping.
Sunday am we did a bit in the house, little bit. and in the Pm we went to the home show.

I look at the duplex we are in and love the place  ... but after the drain-francais, and sealing the foundations, the pieux to stablise the house, then redo the kitchen and make a dining room, redo the bathroom, the brick and insolation, then we need a play room downstairs and a sleeping room there where there are 4 concrete walls now... ah yes there is the electrical and plumbing to ALL be done.  And then the appartment upstairs is to be done as well !!! Basically this house was built 50 years ago and nothing was done since!

And with the in-laws pushing for us to buy this place and at the same time telling us do not invest anything and do not do anything and and and... I am going funny.

And that is part of why my house is a mess!  this place is a big 4 1/4 with the 4 of us in it and the storage of 20 other family members. I have no place for linens, or my hobbies.  My dishes barely fit in the kitchen cabinets.  The kids stiff is everywhere because there is nowhere to put it!!  Ah it is hopeless!  I am useless in organizing! we will live like swine forever!

Wildcat,

You make a good point....if a plan must be made, then plan some alone time and make sure you get it.  The dishes and laundry will still be there tomorrow and you can also ask for help from the family to keep the peace.

Try doing one or two things during the week so that you do not feel overwhelmed on the week-end.  It is important to spend family and couple time together but get out the activities and have some fun!

Start teaching the finer points of house maintenance and everyone should be pitching in.  Rewards are guaranteed!!

Hi gang!

Do you "drive" home Friday and start the week-end list?
The 7 trillion things that just absolutely positively have to get done in the next 72 hours start running through your head.

During the week I am kinda slack and easy going. But come the week-end the house, the alternative medical appointments, the shopping, the kids all just hit me... and what about me in all that ???  Then my husband adds his list -it is tax time! and my kids add their lists -the warm weather is here!  and BANG   the week-end is more stressful that having 4 molars removed in one sitting!

I also want to have a few hours with my husband this week-end thanks to some good looking gentlemen that are still inspiring hot flashes... and my Tiamat is sick with strep throat so she can't keep still (it hurts too much).
