Thanks for the welcome everyone.  In response to your question Ashley, I have come to the Depressioncenter.net site because I am trying to overcome my depression and improve my perspective through CBT.  It looks to me like that is a focus of you and your team, so I want to try your program.

hello optimist... my name is sixflags, hence my life is like a rollercoaster... ie my depression.  this seems to be a great support place, and plan for people who would like to work on this battle at their own pace as well.  good luck and keep in touch

You have come to the right place.  It sounds like you have been doing a lot of research on depression and that's great.  The more education you have the better.  What has brought your to the Depression Centre today?
 
If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests.  These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.

We also have developed a Depression Program.  This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above.  Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead.  

These tests may or may not be for you but they are "free".  If you have any question or concerns with our “TOOLS”, you can contact us at support@depressioncenter.net.  We are the Support Specialist for The Depression Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have.

Hi!  My handle is Optimist, which is an attempt at irony as one of the things that lead to my depression was a continued negative attitude.  I am trying to work through things now, reading the Ken Burns book "Feeling Good", talking with a therapist, taking prozac, and working on the Depressioncenter.net program.  I hope you and I can help each other.  Good luck out there.
