hi there. i am not taking care of myself in a positive way.
i got anger, sadness and grief. i would be able to help another
person in any way. i am not good enough. and yes i do treat
others with compassion.

I am so sorry you are feeling this way AKS.

How are you taking care of yourself while you feel this way? How would you help a friend going through something similar to you? Be sure to treat yourself with the same compassion.

I am struggling to find peace in me. I am struggling to try and move on.

I have made many mistakes in life. My life has not gone the way it was supposed

Hi Rache,

CBT is the gold standard treatment for depression. In other words, CBT has the most evidence based proving it is effective for treating depression. The program requires you to stick with it and complete the homework. It is essential that you do the work in order for CBT to work. Have you had a chance to get started?

Yes, they are not bad dreams but they are about what triggered my depression. And I have them every day!  Hope there's somebody out there who's had a similar situation can share with me how they dealt/coped with them.  Can CBT help on this part of the depression?  Will the dreams go away when I start to feel better?  :)

Hi there. If they are not bad dreams, then I would suggest to continue with  those as those dreams can help ease pain at times. When I have my dreams, it gives me hope. They tend to give me depression too but at least I can have some hope that these dreams will be real 1 day. Will CBT Help? I am not sure to be honest because I am still trying to find my calling. But what I do know how I feel and it is from a quote..”Love is life…if you miss love, you miss life..”

Hi.  I had just joined and started on the sessions.  My attention was just caught by the talk about dreams.  I, too, am having recurrent dreams of what triggered my depression, like everyday.  I wonder what would help me stop these dreams.  They're not bad dreams but being what it is believed to have brought my depression, they're not good dreams for me.  I was seeing a (talk) therapist but I felt she was not helping me get over my depression.  Every meet she just asked me how I was doing.  I know I have to get over the reason why I had this depression and these dreams to feel better. Will CBT help?
