Cuddles, I'm sorry about your Dad. My Mom's passing at the age of 58 was similar to your Dads'. She hung on for 9 mths before dying at home with my Dad and I taking care of her. That was 4 1/2 years ago, and I also smoked while I watched her fade away to 90 lbs. What part of the brain does Ol' Nic. infect that causes us to lose all sensible thoughts? If we watched someone die from virtually anything else, we would avoid it with all costs. For some reason with cancer and smoking, we just keep puffing away. Please don't feel bad about still smoking even though your Dad had cancer. There are alot of us who have also done that. Like you said, It's time to move on. We deserve to be healthy and smoke free.
