Hey ang. Hang in there. I can't say that I am feeling much better right now. As long as we keep in mind that we are stronger than nicotine and can fight off every urge and craving because frankly they just arent worth it we will be alright! I hope you feel better and things look up for you. Stick with it! Remember: No smoke, No choke, No Croak! Hey Everyone, I have been very upset lately and emotional. Family problems and my best friend is leaving for Japan tomm for 6 months than leaving for Halifax a few days after she comes back!! I am really devestated about that. She had a party last night and I mustve bawled three times! I am also sort of upset because even wen she comes home, I will be in a new house with this unknown new life. Things just wonnt be the same anymore. I know I am whining but I am usually pretty optimistic so I think i deserve to complain a bit!! I am not smoking I have sudden intense cravings a bit but they subside of course! I know smoking won't help the problem just supress it but sometimes I want to supress my feelings , in a good way you know? if there is a healthy good way.... I am proud of myself for getting so far things have been VERY tough for me personally I worry that I might cave in when things might get a bit more complicated but I remind myself things are hard now too and on my last quit I caved in over alot less than what I am going through now. So I am trying to keep a bit positive. I am so relived that my cravings dont last long, i guess its because i dont etertain the thought and strangely enough i think about this guy i work with and how proud he seemed when I said I quit smoking. This guy is such a nice guy, hes never smoked but I look up to him alot and I dont wanna start again and have him know. lol, I dunno why! But its a stupid little reason that keeps me from staying quit. I dont wanna let down myself the most though I think. Even though things are hard I can always remeber this accomplishment. How my Knights doing? Ang.. you are doing just great. You asked about supressing feelings in a healthy way. Take it from someone who has done that for most of their adult life, there is no healthy way to supress feelings and eventually it all catches up with you. Go ahead and have your cry. There is nothing in the world like a good friend to cry over. Those memories will remain with you for a lifetime. Cherish them. You have a fabolus quit and you recognize the junkie thinking for exactly what it is. I am so proud of you and how far you have come in this quit. All the emotional turmoil that you experience is going to be there whether you smoke or not. How you react to it determines how successful you will be at overcoming the obsticles. You are a very intelligent young woman. One day soon you will reach freedom from smoking. Hang in there. You are going to love it. ang, Life is about change. Quitting is about life. Don't confuse the two. You are on a path that will enrich your life 10 fold. Your quit will not only give you back your health, it will continue to build your confidence. Be upset if you want about your life and personal issues within it, but don't connect those things with your quit. You have broken a chemical addiction. That is great!!! As for your life, hey, if you wake up tomorrow, it's a great day!! :p It's all perspective. Keep on keepin' on!! [b][color=Purple]Be Strong. Be Smart.
