I've thought of you ever since I saw your post in the 6-12 Club. I'm relieved, as I know you are, that there was no cancer. I'm sorry though, to hear that the emphysema has worsened.
After 60 years of smoking, it had to be a HUGE undertaking to even begin your quit...but here you are at nearly 300 days. That takes a strong and determined person. By quitting, you've not only slowed the progression of the illness...but you also helped the rest of your body strengthen in order to fight and withstand it better.
