Gonnadoit, here in Canada the patch also comes in 7, 14, and 21 mg. However, about 7 years ago I ran across a new brand that came in different increments again. The only difference with these ones was that they told you definitely not to wear them at night.(I haven't seen this brand this time round.) I have to wear my patch, I'm not taking it off until I finish the program. So I would say all patches basically do the same thing with 7 14 and 21mg being the most common increments. I find the generic patch works just as well and I am following a 12 week program. 6wks at 21mg, 3wks at 14mg, and 3 wks at 7 mg. I learned from a previous quit, where I stepped down from 21 mg to 14 mg after 2 weeks, that this was too soon. The quit didn't last. I don't really know as this helps any, but that's my info. Cheers, Jan
