Hi Jan - I agree, there should be rehab for smokers. Those first days sometimes feel unbearable and the first few weeks can be murder. I remember how hard it was to quit and try to focus on the jobs that had to be done at the same time and it is really HARD!
I actually went on the Internet looking for a local support group when I got the information about SCC. It would be nice to have that support locally so I would have fellow quitters that I could meet for coffee, go to a show, etc. (because they would understand if I was grumpy, angry or maybe couldn't go and would be just as excited about the good times as I was) Having said that, if I only had the option of one or the other, I think I would choose SCC. There is nowhere else that I can go any time of the day and get support. If I have a problem or a question, I don't have to wait until the meeting to share them.
I'm so glad you are back with us. I may be reverting to "SURVIVAL" mode soon - we will see.
I am gradually learning that some of the advice has been really helpful (i.e. switching up my routine as much as possible, REWARDS (lots and lots of rewards). I don't think I realized how important they are.
In the meantime, may catch up with you for a brief time, before I crawl under my blankets tonight!
WAY TO GO JAN AND SPARKY!!!! :)
