Dont just break it into 2 you could still light it!! Tear it to shreds and throw away lighters,matches etc... One thing did you say you put the patch on before bedtime? The only time I ever wore a patch at night I had horrible nightmares I have found it better to put a fresh one on each morning and discard at night.
