This has been a rewarding yet tough journey these last few weeks, but all worth it. This weekend I have to fly out of town for business. It's only a day trip, but man I am looking forward to going to the airport and not having to find a place inside or go outside to smoke.
Getting through the airport is hectic enough now a days. Just looking forward to getting through there in a relaxed state of mind.
This how stupid I was when it came to smoking.
Last year a bunch us flew for vacation, ended up having an extended layover of about 3 hours due to weather. So what did us smokers do. Since it was a nonsmoking airport, we had to go outside to smoke. In order to do this, we had to leave our luggage with our friends, go up a couple of escalators, past security, and another 50-60 yards or so before we could go out into a snowstorm in 20 degree weather to have a smoke. Once there you know we had to smoke 2-3 cigs in about 15 minutes, because we didn't know when we would get our next fix. Upon going back into the airport, we had to go through the security check point, which luckily was not that busy at the time, back down the escalators and find where our friends may have moved to. The scary part is, we did this 3 or 4 times in this 3 hour period.
Thank you all for making the beginning part of this journey a success, and all your continued support as I move forward.
