I've been dipping since 1984 and I really want to quit. I think my biggest stumbling block for relapse has been not being motivated to do any of the things I do while chewing. I don't want to play guitar or go fishing etc. Anyway, hi.

Hi Regular Dad,
Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on deciding to kick the habit!
If motivation is a problem, find simple things to replace chewing. Ex: chew gum, drink water, take deep breaths, play a game on the computer, organize an activity with your kids... whatever works best for you.
Keep us posted on the progress your making,
Danielle
