This "Professional" woman was at my house on Friday morning with a freind of mine.
I told this woman that I had quit smoking, and she replied with the usual "I wish I could". I've just recently figured out that "I wish I could" translates into "Stop talking about it right now because you're making me feel bad."
Well, i didn't stop talking about it... I was sharing the easy stuff and the hard stuff with her, and just a rambling on. Then she stood up, headed for the door, patted me on the shoulder on the way by, and said "I'm going to go outside to have one for you..."
You know what? She's jealous. It kind of all hit me this weekend. I've been jealous of the smokers because they get to "enjoy" they're cigarettes and I have "given them up" and deprived myself.
But, before I quit, I was wishing I could quit just like that woman.
How messed up is that!?
*DUH moment*
I don't need to say anything to her. My friend doesn't bring her cigarettes at my request, and I could say the same to this woman if I wanted to. But, I think that i'll just say "I'm sure glad that I don't have to join you!!"
