Niks,
Sorry, but listen to yourself. Or rather, that voice in your head!
I will apply your logic to my experience:
Feb-April 1st 3 months of my quit. Money saved approx 600-700
My 'rewards' consisted of several visits to the local garden centre, stocking up my garden with beautiful plants and emptying my wallet.
As I only have a small garden, by early May it was full! No more room!
So Niks, what did I do? Did I say to Mrs Ed, 'Hmm I have a problem here. The garden is full of plants and I can no longer reward myself. While you're at the shops, can you get me a couple of packs of Silk Cut, because it's pointless carrying on without a reward'
OR .. did I think 'Well that's the garden looking beautiful, now what else did I want.. a digital camera, new coat, extra holiday, new car, new handbag for Mrs Ed (she only has 29 of these), etc, etc, etc...??
Niks, by my reckoning, you will save over 2,500 a year by not smoking.
While you sit on that Cypriot beach, make a list of all the rewards you would like. And if you can't think of anything, send the money to me. Your reward will be making a Quit buddy very happy
Mr Ed ;p
