26 wonderful smoke free days for you Theresita! Awesome. Each day is a milestone in itself and now...26!!! Keep up the great work, keep the quit, and keep on posting. As for the lifesavers, my choice would be mint. Anything mint for me right now...even peppermint tea. Hey Hummy: I love your stats...and I love your moto. For the number of days you have been smoke free, seems the number of times I have tried to quit. Whoa...you impress..... I haven't had Life Savers since I was kid...which I guess made me turn to them in the first place on my journey...the colours, the tastes, the message of the candy is particularly useful to me at this time. I think my choice is butterscotch... Can you share your success story. I am very interested as I have only made it past 39 days in the last year. I did quit once before for 3 years, fell off the wagon and I have been come here, go away ever since. How did you do it? This time I have quit cold turkey. Last evening I had the case of the nervous sweats and paranoia I have ever experienced. I had the greatest fear of picking up a cigarette and starting again,,,I seriously wanted to jump down from a high place. I took a bath instead but...YIKES...I am soo maniac about NOT starting again. I TOTALLY WIGGED OUT. I would be great to hear your story so I can reach for it when I'm in my DARK place. Hope you don't mind me asking... Love and light. Hi all. Just wanting to report another successful non-smoking week for me..YIPPEE YA HOO...a stones throw from celebrating one month...can`t wait for that big day. In addition, I managed to find 7 smoker friends of mine interested in joining our lovely party! Whoa, that is very cool. I much enjoy spreading the love eh? Anyway, all to say...I hope everyone is doing well, and I wouldn't be doing so well if I did have the support of everyone. Thank you. I wish I could name all of you specifically but there are multitudes. A warm, sincere thank you for your writings and pictures of encouragement. Life Saver candy has been a good friend. What is your colour?? Love and light... Marie: You are a very cool lady. Thanks for the support re: the boy. He TOTALLY disrespected me and of course had no problem telling me that I need help. I told him he needn't worry about what I need anymore because I'm leaving him. HA!!! I'm still sad because I like him...sober...he tried Marie but in the end...the bottle won. No matter I am confident I gave my best. Thanks for your words....I KINDA feel good that I made that decision but I miss him to. Weird. Speaking of weird...I wrote a response to your August post of your nasty neighbour did you get it? Check it out... You're a doll Marie. Hugs. Love and Light. Hi everyone! You all melt my heart...I am soo impatient with myself...I want to be quit for 400 days...I find the time is ticking by very slowly. It brings me JOY...to read your notes of encouragement. The smiles and pretty pictures...awww...too cute!!! (cry tears of joy, hugs) I am taking myself to lunch tomorrow and I'm buying myself new exercise cloths for my Hot Yoga class. On a personal note: It's funny because I broke up with my boyfriend 2 weeks ago because he dissed me on a dinner date because he said he had to catch up on his bills. So, I'm celebrating my one month quit at the restaurant he was planning to take me. Isn't that cool! I think it's funny. I will praise your support as I relish in my gift of Life tomorrow - I really owe my strenght to all of you..GREAT BLESSINGS...YOU ARE ANGELS!!! You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I hope my smoker friends connect with us...that would be very cool. I'll keep you posted. Oh, I'm loving your candy favorites. Pinapple, cherry..butterscotch mmmm...I love the colour green but the candy is sour...which is GREAT when you need to fight that trigger eh?? Orange is a lovely colour and certainly a great LS flavour. OK. Here's a question... M & M's or SMARTIES??? I use to be a SMARTIES gal but switched... I DREAM to have higher stats on my Quit Meter. Thanks for writing everyone...I am PROUD OF YOU and I CERTAINLY am trying to catch up with you! Love and Light. Good morning Gonnadoit!! Wow, dreamsickle candy? That's neat. I think of the ice cream I would buy as a child and the stick was a figure of some kind. That was a yummie flavour. Is the dreamsickle candy multi-coloured? Oh, yes, I am chowing down on the fries and the burgers and having a grand olde time with my taste buds...I am forcing myself to toss out the BBQ chips however because I enjoy them a tad TOO much. Chicken and dumplings...mmmmm. I have only had dumplings once...they are SOOO delicious. Can I come over at 6:00? I'll bring you lemon Life Savers... Congrats on 8 days for you my friend!!! How are you feeling. Are the dreams disturbing your daily rhythmn?? Have a wonderful smoke free day! Love and Light. Theresita!!! Theresita: CONGRATULATIONS!!! I personally like the lemon ones, however I recently found a candy that tastes just like a dreamsickle. Those taste buds sure wake up after a quit, don't they? I've thrown dieting to the side so I can enjoy all those tastes and smells. I had a dream last night about chicken and dumplings...think I'll pick up the ingredients while at the store later! I have the strangest dreams...if not about smoking, it somehow involves food... :) Have a great day!
