Whoops! It's late & looks like I'd better get some sleep too. Cause I missed the cruise ship & posted it in the Augustine thread instead. Oh yeah, up way too late tonight. Sillyme rewards are so important, can't stress that factor enough. Everyday think of rewarding yourself with little things that warm your heart. For a huge milestone like this well you need something big. Come on do it you'll feel better. Take care, keep on quitting one day at a time :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 122 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,837 Amount Saved: $488 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 3 Mins: 38 Seconds: 42

Phil and Sillyme, it does get better, promise, just hang on. I started feeling better at the 3 month mark , before that I had bad days and good days, I think you have to ride the waves. I would go through the day with a goal in mind: do what you have to do today, work take care of business, breathe, chew gum, drink a lot of water and when I got home I would treat myself to rewards: not much, hot chai tea with gingerbread cookies, then a bubble bath and I would lay down on the couch with a pillow and blanket and watch tv to get my mind of it. Every morning I take the decision not to smoke and when the day is over I'm proud to have kept the commitment to myself. I repeat this every day ,today I will not smoke and tonight I will spoil myself, I'm true to my word, I don't smoke and I spoil myself. It's working for me, could work for you. One day at a time, thinking of you ,IT DOES GET BETTER :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 125 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,889 Amount Saved: $500 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 14 Mins: 47 Seconds: 41

Sillyme, helping others helps a lot, I agree, I meet quitters along with a few other girls, the first wednesday of each month and they share their experience with us, this helps a whole lot. I'm glad you're feeling better. Now I think Phil needs our help, let's grab a hold of him. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 126 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,896 Amount Saved: $504 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 16 Mins: 15 Seconds: 24

Sillyme- I do believe it is the monthly blues---30 days; 60 days; 90 days......Gosh, I have been so impressed with your quit! You are doing so well. Seems like a battle, doesn't it? All up-hill.... But, you know, the end result will be well worth all the effort. I have confidence in you. There are a lot of us on your tail watching your lead. Be strong and keep up the quit. Just a little dddrrrrrraaaaggg right now. Tomorrow is a new day :) {{{hugs}}} My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,698 Amount Saved: $264 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 11 Mins: 54 Seconds: 24

Sillyme & Phil Also be sure to keep up with your rewards. Quitting can be difficult and you should get something tangible while waiting for all the benefits of your quit to start shinning through. Rewards keep us motivated to stay quit, give us something to work towards and lift our moods. Select rewards ahead of time and select something that is important to you or is related back to one of your passions. Stay strong. Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team
