Hi Sillyme,
I read this a long time ago, and it has stuck in my head. Whenever someone is having a difficult time, I try to post this.
As long as your mind holds on to the fact that you might give in and let yourself have a cig, it will continue to hold out hope that your quit won't last (and the cravings that come with it will overwhelm you).
Think about it for a minute. The more you give yourself 'hope' of a smoke, the more you let your mind (craving) get the power. When you give it power, there is no stopping it.
Take that power back. Make a list of why you quit. Read inspirational quotes and stories. If there are people that are your inspitation for your quit, pull out those pictures. Make a list of how great you feel, and things you can do now that you could not do before. Tell yourself you are doing a FANTASTIC job, over and over again.
Now is the time to take up a new hobby. 62 days into quit, and you are now in a different lifestyle. Add something that you love to do, or have been meaning to do. I myself joined a gym, and I bought a MP3 player. I really do love working out right now.
Make sure you reward yourself as well. 62 days is a milestone!! Maybe a big reward is in store.........
Take care of yourself!!
