Hi Sillyme, I read this a long time ago, and it has stuck in my head. Whenever someone is having a difficult time, I try to post this. As long as your mind holds on to the fact that you might give in and let yourself have a cig, it will continue to hold out hope that your quit won't last (and the cravings that come with it will overwhelm you). Think about it for a minute. The more you give yourself 'hope' of a smoke, the more you let your mind (craving) get the power. When you give it power, there is no stopping it. Take that power back. Make a list of why you quit. Read inspirational quotes and stories. If there are people that are your inspitation for your quit, pull out those pictures. Make a list of how great you feel, and things you can do now that you could not do before. Tell yourself you are doing a FANTASTIC job, over and over again. Now is the time to take up a new hobby. 62 days into quit, and you are now in a different lifestyle. Add something that you love to do, or have been meaning to do. I myself joined a gym, and I bought a MP3 player. I really do love working out right now. Make sure you reward yourself as well. 62 days is a milestone!! Maybe a big reward is in store......... Take care of yourself!! ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 222 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,673 Amount Saved: $725.94 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 21 Mins: 35 Seconds: 7

So wierd to think how easy this journey would be without the mental battle that we have to endure. Stay strong...just remember what an inspiration you have been to the people who are days behind you in thier quit. You can do this...we are here for you.
