I too have had to ban smoking in the home, shop and car. It bothers me, because when I smoked, I wouldn't bother going to see a non-smoker. If they wanted me over for some reason, it's THEIR problem, not mine. If they wanted a ride in my car, it's THEIR problem, not mine. I was a militant activist smoker.
Years ago when I quit smoking, I was much nicer. People could smoke in my home, car, work. Nothing bothered me. Now it's different. Cigarette smoke makes me physically ill. My throat closes up and I cannot breathe. I have had to ban all smoking and hope everyone understands that I wouldn't take this drastic step unless it was absolutely necessary.
