Dunedad, I know how you feel...up....down...up...down...do I need to remind you of my near miss divorce court over the dang sock basket on day 2, that was a close one. I felt similar to some posts, for a moment, then I looked beyond the posts and realized, we are all learning, every post, every success and yes, even every slip. We can use the slips and the success's either to our benefit or to our demise. We are the type that prefer to learn from them. Learn "why" people slipped and learn how people succeeded. I take the words in these posts home with me every night in my head (along with the other voices ;))and they all keep me strong. Have a great weekend Dunedad...HUGS! Monday will be day 14 for us...WooHoo! Glad to see you back, Dunedude. I'm in the same boat (as usual), just in it a little longer than you. peteg My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 18 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 927 Amount Saved: $99 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 5 Mins: 55 Seconds: 33

Hey guys: Thanks for hearing me out the other day. It appears that I can also be cranky at the keyboard as well to family, lol. Anyway,I have taken some deep breaths and have chilled. I think I must have just seen alot of post's about falling off the wagon, and yes, I was starting to get discouraged. I was beginning to wonder if I needed to back off from SSC, ironically enough, to protect my quit. Logical??....not so much. This is my quit. Not my attempt to quit. Not hopefully to......quit! But it is my 1st (and only) time I intend to do this. It is hard for me to know what to expect, despite all preparations. I think some may have thought I was taking the easy way out. Nah, you have alot more to endure of me! After my little tantrum, or whatever it was. I saw alot of post's of just positive reinforcement and it was just what I needed. Is that called a "bump" when someone sees a previous post and re-introduces it? If that is the case stickintoit has been a bumpin' fool! Good Job STI! Now a few words to a few people: Pentinent: I dont think this is a "pity parade" at all. What I see here is some very strong and courageous people linking arms, and yes if you need a lift, or feeling down. You need to talk about it to get through it. That is a worthy purpose of the forum. cobenfan: Thanks...just thank you for being there! Phil: How did you know that I AM "stronger than that"? Thanks Phil Moderators: How DO you deal with the cranky people like me so much? All in all guys I am closing in on the end of heck week. Today is better than yesterday, as tomorrow will be to today. Exactly like you have said. Yup, my quit meter is still running strong...and hasnt stopped! -Kevin- My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 196 Amount Saved: $41.4 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 9 Mins: 21 Seconds: 21

So glad to see you back Dune....I was afraid that I skeeeeeered ya away because I was having a couple rotten days and I was having my own little hissy fit. (Didn't want you to think that people who quit are miserable - I was quite capable of being cranky before I quit...I am just learning new ways to deal with bad days - quitting didn't cause me to have a bad day just abit of an overload at work) People who are enjoying their smoke-free life don't always post as often but when they do, you will get to hear about how great life is being smoke-free. In the meantime, we keep on this journey and never look back. (My first and last time quitting too - well except for 2 days 17 years ago) Windy My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 66 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,338 Amount Saved: $330 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 8 Mins: 24 Seconds: 3

People have hissy pissies on here all the time in the beginning of their quits. It is all that oxygen. They just aren't use to it! hehe! So don't be hard hard on yourself. Just keep on truckin' along. Fondly, Free * Congrats on 9 smoke free days. That is really wonderful!
