I remember after 9/11 so many thought the world could end tomorrow, so they took the attitude of "why worry about our health", we are all going to die soon, in some "spectacular" death. Many gave up their resolutions, whatever they were, because the end was near.
The point is, really, really hard days will come upon us. If you were challenged (as you were with your dog) on 9/11 would you have given up your quit just as easily? Do we want to race the end? To see if we will be put to death before we kill ourselves? We are people of hope, and we answer to a higher authority. Only God decides when we go. It is our gift to God to take care of what he has so graciously given to us. Take care of your gift everyone!
